Hi, and thanks for stopping by. I always find it interesting the effect of the media in our modern times. We are all aware of the troubles that befell our economy last fall ( did I just say befell...lol) . The media was declaring the end of home sales, great investment's and low downpayment's until the dawn of a new age. Well, here we are not even a year later and ...GASP...we are still here. If you watched our show or if we were privilged enough to get the opportunity to share our philosphies with you, then you probably recall that we said that all Real Estate is local,  and for many reasons we did not feel Guelph would be hit hard at all. Well not to say we told you so but.....just kidding. The good news is that the sky did not fall,  in fact at our worst point we saw no more then a  2.4% drop in prices, and that lasted less then 60 day's. The market has recovered from that ever so slight dip back in the winter to actually be on par with 2008 and.....wait for it....continuing to rise higher. What about total sales you ask, well they were down much more back in the chilly months by as much as 20% +,  but the sales have rebounded quickly as well to now be on par with 2008 for 5 straight months and....wait for it...even slightly better. Now even the media is starting to not report Real Estate doom. The moral of the story is......belive NONE of what you read ( except this blog of course LOL) and half of what you see. If you seek good Real Estate advice,  then find a knowledgeable FULL TIME Real Estate professional (maybe like a member of the Dream Team...wink)  and let the chicken little's continue to miss life's many opportunities and the wonderfull blue skies.
