East Guelph / Grange Road Real Estate

Guelph’s East Side is a sprawling area made up of several suburbs, however the most notable would be the Grange Hill and Starwood Drive areas East of Victoria Road. With some existing older homes mixed in with thousands of new subdivisions dating from the late 1990’s to current, the East Side totals well over 7,000 residences. Despite this one area encompassing more than 20% of Guelph’s population, it is unfortunately still lacking in a few amenities such as suitable shopping for groceries. On the upside, the vast majority of the homes are new and well cared for, there are new parks and schools servicing the area, as well as Guelph’s newest public library. It is also home to one of the largest community parks in the city (Pollinators Park/Eastview Community Park). All of this is coincidentally across the road from the natural walking trails situated in Grange Road Park. This area is 10 minutes to downtown via car and 20 minutes via bus or bike so the atmosphere, culture and amenities that people seek is just a stone’s throw away. Therefore this is one of the nicest new areas in Guelph to be in.
